Biography
Suad Mohamed is a devoted language instructor with over three decades of experience teaching Arabic language and culture. She holds a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and has a distinguished academic background, including a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Cum Laude) and extensive undergraduate studies in History at Cairo University. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia, she has taught all levels of Arabic and conducted cultural programs both locally and abroad. Ms. Mohamed has also contributed as a director for summer programs in Morocco and Jordan, fostering immersive language learning experiences. Her career includes roles as an Arabic language instructor at prestigious institutions like Columbia University, the United Nations, and New York University. Beyond teaching, she is the department Artificial intelligence guide, has led workshops on language pedagogy and given lectures on Middle Eastern culture and history, emphasizing her commitment to cross-cultural understanding and education.
